A happier subject is my group's project for History of Rock. We are a rock group. A "rock group." Hah. Last night, we recorded a "song." Which consisted of Rob playing the guitar, Juliana shaking a maraca, Mike and I making random noises, AIM/Trillian sounds, Juliana's piano recording, and Gilmore Girls.

It actually doesn't sound too bad at first. It has SOME semblance of a melody and rhythm, all thanks to Rob. But then we add the maraca and piano and it's just plain craziness and loudness and INDETERMINACY, baby!

Heh. It was really fun.

Tomorrow, the second part will be recorded. Instead of them coming to my dorm, this time I'll have to head over to Juliana's, at Denton. She's got the video camera and the costumes. Though me, I'll be bringing Ewa's sombrero, and Chris' pimp outfit (leopard print robe and his fedora). Heh. We're going to have an interview with the rock group. Rob, Juliana, and I are going to dress up in all-out rock garb, while Mike is going to dress nicely and ask us questions. And we will answer with the usual rock group attitude. Like in the Sex Pistols interview. I wonder if we can curse.

I like what we're doing with the project. I think it's a fun idea that is also fun to complete.
If it weren't for this seminar I could get by so easily.
I tried. I tried to do the work I need to do for my honors seminar, Strategies of Equality, but I couldn't complete it. It did nothing for me. Except to put me in an extremely foul mood. And so, I seek solace in my blog. I have an hour before I head into hell that is that seminar. The professor is nice enough. The way he teaches is just bad. The subject is just bad. For me, at least.

A classmate of mine stated something that might have made the difference between me enjoying this class and me just wanting to kill myself every Wednesday. She thought the class would be a discussion on how society deals with the bias and discrimination that still exists, and will exist for quite a time longer. But no. It's hardly a discussion. We analyze government legislation and policies and shit shit shit that I just don't really care too much for. And the professor just talks and talks and talks. And he insists we read the stuff he assigns us, but we never use it anyway during class so it all just seems pointless.

So I'm in a foul mood. All because I tried to read his crappy assigned readings. Stuff just bores and annoys me. Not going to be a government major --> me.

That and damn Indiana beat the Terps last night in basketball. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.
